MainOne Equinix is a Tier III design data centre formerly known as MainOne/MDXi facilities. They form a robust data collocation centre and carrier-neutral digital hub with high-capacity subsea and terrestrial connectivity, strong compliance standards, and scalable infrastructure—ideal for enterprises, hyperscalers, and carriers focusing on reliability, interconnection, and growth in West Africa.
As a tier III data centre, optimal security and access to their facility are key requirement for their business hence, the need for the upgrade of their entrance control system to a more recent and modern Speedgates which is able to integrate to their existing third-party access control system.
ZKTeco’s SBTL8000 and SBTL8200 provides the ideal solution meeting both their security need without distorting their infrastructure aesthetics. The project involves the decommissioning of their existing gates, installation of SBTL8000 & SBTL8200 and integration to their existing Suprema access control system.
The project requires the decommissioning of Boom Edam Speedgate and installation of a more aesthetic pleasing ZKTeco SBTL8000 & SBTL8200 to achieve a dual lane for entry and exit into the data centre. The wide lane (900mm) option of the SBTL8200 allows for the passage of people with large parcel or people on wheel chair in compliance with the Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act of Nigeria, 2018.
The proposed solution includes SBTL8000 and SBTL8200 with a high (1.5mm) and wide 900mm lane to allow passage of people with large parcel or wheel chair.
